The Red Series

I See Red...

"The Red Series" is an ever growing series that focuses on very cliche themes and phrases we have all heard and come to know involving romance. My creative direction for the series was birthed from intense emotions surrounding everything that red represents, everything from anger, danger, betrayal, heart break, love, passion, life, death, and rebirth.

This series is by far my favorite thus far, being that some how every piece is tied together, even the titles and compositions. For the first time, I feel compelled to push the envelope as far as I can, and be explicitly honest with how I feel about sexuality, sensuality, unity, and natural beauty. 

The first piece, "I See Red", was visually inspired by an Atlanta native photographer, LaRue Calliet, Jr., who understood my vision for a reinterpretation of his work. Please do take a moment to admire his talents here:
